Here's what I got on Jack Thompson

Jack Thompson is a 23 year old, 6'1 defenseman. Hailing from Courtice, Ontario; the Canucks acquired Thompson in a trade with the San Jose Sharks for Jett Woo.
The AHL is nothing new for Jack, though he's spent a good amount of time in the NHL. Last season he was noticeably spending half his season in the NHL and even netting his first NHL goal with the Sharks. His stats for the past few seasons aren't anything to scoff at even for a defenseman.
Last season he was able to get 10 points (4G 6A) in 31 NHL games and 14 points (3G 11A) in 27 AHL games. This season, prior to joining the Canucks organization, he was putting up 12 points (3G 9A) and sitting at a +13 in 42 games with the San Jose Barracuda. And because I'm slow to get these out he's already got 5 points (2G 3A) in the first 2 games he's played with the Abbotsford Canucks.
Thompson has obviously fit into the Abbotsford group easily which may be because of his connections with other players in the lockerroom. Obviously Cole Clayton is his former teammate from earlier this year (having obtained him in the Kiefer Sherwood trade), but back in juniors Jack was also teammates with Kirill Kudryavtsev on the Soo Greyhounds and Chase Stillman on the Sudbury Wolves.

Jack was part of the Wolves organization for 3 seasons (4 years with one being taken by COVID protocols) and in his last season he was named captain with Stillman as one of his As. The hockey world is small when it comes to connections but there's no doubt that his multiple connections to others in the Abbotsford team has made the transition easier.
Your fun fact is that during the cancelled OHL season, Thompson was loaned to Surahammars IF of HockeyEttan in Sweden. I won't lie and say there's not an exceeding amount of information on Jack Thompson, but he is already making a name for himself and is incredibly well-spoken so I am excited to see him continue in Abbotsford and eventually Vancouver.
